At Muttonhead we recognize the importance of ethically made clothing. This is why we manufacture all of our tshirts in a sweatshop free factory located right here in Toronto.
Great t-shirt. Does not run large in my opinion. Also greta customer service. Package was lost and mtn head resent it.
There's just something about these heavies that make you feel good.
I wish I didn’t read the reviews about sizing… After reading some reviews stating that the heavyweight tee fits larger than expected I got nervous and sized down from a large to a medium (I’m a 5’10 male and weigh about 175-180lbs). The medium fit quite tight through the chest and shoulders on me. I had to pay to ship the shirt back and then order a new one in large so paid for shipping three times. Although that was frustrating, the new large does fit great and seems to be great quality! Not a cheap tee, but it is thick enough to feel like it will last, and is softer than other heavy weight tees I own from other brands. I also bought a medium weight tee in white. It’s nice too, but the heavyweight is the stand out for me! The dusty rose colour is a nice add to the wardrobe and is not too bright. I would definitely recommend the Canadian made Muttonhead heavyweight tee, but make sure to get the sizing right to avoid multiple shipping charges that are typically covered by the bigger store brands.
Fits well. Washes well without shrinking or signs of wear. The heavyweight feels great compared to your average cheap tshirt.
I’m super frustrated by this store. I was super excited to order stuff, and was stoked to support a made-in-Canada brand, but even though the garment quality and style is good, the sizing is just brutal. Got these T-shirts in XXL specifically because they said they “fit larger than our normal shirts”. I did my best to measure and confirm it would fit, and I’m a comfortable XXL in most other brands I’ve tried. But nope, once again things from muttonhead fit me like shrink wrap. Extremely tight and totally uncomfortable, I’d be embarrassed to wear it out.
I’ve had the same problem with muttonhead sweatpants (this “fits larger” cabin pant style just barely fits in XXL, the normal style doesn’t fit comfortably at all) and the N&F jeans sold by y’all (I know, made by a different company, but frustratingly you don’t carry the size 44 only the 42). I get it’s also my own fault for taking a risk on stuff I can’t try on in person, and I guess for measuring wrong apparently, but I really wanted to give this brand a chance.
It’s just a huge disappointment all around. Your unisex sizing might mean you’re more gender neutral, but in practice it means you’re also far less size inclusive that other brand where larger folk of all genders can reliably pick from larger “mens” sizes. Definitely support unisex clothing, but it sucks that you’ve decided to provide that unisex clothing for trim, slender people only and not folk who are “big and tall”.
For any consumers reading this: I’m roughly 6’1” and ~250-260lbs, with a broad build. If that sounds like you or if your a curvy woman with a fuller bust, don’t bother with this brand they’ve got nothing for you.
EDIT: Updating this review from a 1/5 to a 4/5 because the store manager reached out and acknowledged the sizing limitations, which I appreciated. Hope to see this reflected in the line up some day, I’d still really like to be able to support this brand.
They also let me know that they can actually special order in the larger N&F sizes which is really good to know and I also appreciated that very much. So, I’m still disappointed with the fit and sizing but not with the people, they’re good folk who make good stuff 👍 hopefully I’ll be able to find some stuff that works for me.
